Odisha to get relief from boiling heat from today, Rain likely in 12 districts
The people of Odisha can expect relief from the scorching heat for the next four days as rainfall with thunderstorm likely to hit state.
Bhubaneswar: The people of Odisha can expect relief from the scorching heat for the next four days from today that is Sunday as the regional India Meteorological Department (IMD) here have predicted light rain and thunderstorm at a few places in the state.
A yellow warning for light to moderate rainfall or thundershower activity has been issued for as many as 12 districts of the state.
Though the temperature dropped in various cities of the state yesterday, most of the places still experienced high humidity and boiling heat. Yesterday, the temperature was above 40 degrees in 20 cities of the state.
From today, the people of the state can get relief from dry spells. There is a possibility of rain in various parts of the state from today till 19th April. During the day there may be a slight drop in temperature.
The Regional Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain to 18 districts of the state for tomorrow. Various places of Odisha will likely receive kalbaisakhi induced rain till April 19.
