Respite from heat wave! Day temperature likely to drop in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Scorching heat wave condition has been sweeping Odisha since a couple of days with the maximum day temperature touching the 44 degrees Celsius mark. The normal life has been affected by the heat wave so much that the State government has announced holidays for the school and anganwadi students.

However, in what can be considered a sigh of relief for the people, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here has predicted that the day temperature is likely to drop from tomorrow.

As per the forecast of the weatherman, several places of the State will receive rainfall for four days. Rain is likely to occur in the south and north parts of the State, predicted the department adding that the coastal north region to witness rain from April 17.

Likewise, the entire coastal area of Odisha may receive rain from April 18, informed IMD.
