Five students fell ill after consuming poisonous fruit in Chudamani area of the Bashudevpur block of Odisha’s Bhadrak district.

Bhadrak: Nearly five students fell ill after consuming poisonous fruit in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. The incident has come to the fore from the Chudamani area of the Bashudevpur block of the district.

According to sources, on Thursday evening, the students saw the black fruit plant on their way to tuition. They thought the fruit to be Indian plum and ate it.

As the fruit was poisonous, all the students fell ill. The minors complained of stomach aches. Knowing about the incident, the parents of the students rushed them to the Bashudevpur Hospital for treatment.

All the students were discharged after being treated. Presently, all the students are healthy.
