Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident a man allegedly committed suicide by slitting his throat in Jharsuguda of Odisha on Friday. The incident took place in a rented house in the ‘Sukhua Godam’ lane in the town, Police said.
The deceased has been identified as 40 year old Sandip Kumar Singh.
As per reports, a relative of Sandip came to his rented house in Jharsuguda’s bus stand area today at about 10.30 am in the morning and knocked the door. As Sandip did not open the door for long he alerted the house owner.
The two accompanied by others broke the door and reportedly found Sandip was lying in a pool of blood. They immediately alerted Police about the matter.
After getting information Police rushed to the spot seized the body and sent it for autopsy.
From the preliminary investigation Police are suspecting that Sandip committed suicide due to family discord.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
