Two brothers kidnapped at gunpoint in Ganjam district of Odisha
Two brothers were kidnapped on gunpoint by some unknown miscreants from Puintala Chhak in Ganjam district late Friday night.
Ganjam: Two brothers were kidnapped on gunpoint by some unknown miscreants from Puintala Chhak near Kahllikote in Ganjam district late Friday night. The police has began the probe.
According to reports, the two brothers, identified as Panchanan Sahu and Krushna Sahu, have a shop on the National Highway number 16. They were threatened at gunpoint and kidnapped by miscreants who came to the shop via a car.
The reason behind the kidnapping has not been known yet. The family members of the kidnapped men have registered a case of kidnapping in Ganjam police station.
The family members and the locals staged road blockage on the NH yesterday night demanding the rescue of the kidnapped brothers. The protest was later withdrawn after the police authorities promised to capture the kidnappers and rescue the Sahu brothers.
The police has initiated an investigation of the case at the scene.
