Notorious criminal of Odisha Eshwar Mallick arrested, was a con artist

Balasore: The notorious criminal of Balasore district in Odisha, Eshwar Mallick has been arrested, said reliable reports in this regard on Friday.

According to reliable reports, Eshwar and his son-in-law have also been arrested by the police. The notorious robber Eshwar was challenging the police by changing his ways of robbing. Sometimes he identified himself as a police officer and sometimes as an OAS officer and targeted common people.

Police said that there are more than 70 cases in the name of Eshwar in Baleswar district and 12 cases in the name of his son-in-law Mitu Singh. Together with his son-in-law, they both were looting in a planned manner.

On the 30th, Eshwar introduced himself and his son-in-law Block and targeted Sulochana Pradhan’s house in Bahanga area. Sulochana’s house allotment found in the housing scheme has been canceled and asked to pay two lakh rupees. In addition, 20 thousand rupees were taken from his son’s account through phone pay. Later, she was asked to come and take a photo wearing gold jewelry, and escaped after robbing the gold jewelry.

After investigation into the incident, the police got more leads and a special squad under the direction of Balasore SP was formed to arrest both of them. They were involved in various criminal activities in Rupsa, Khantapada, Kheira and Gopalpur areas between 23 December and 30 December.

The police was successful and managed to arrest the duo and seized Rs 55,000, mobile phone, gold jewellery, bank passbook, 3 Aadhaar cards, bike, 3 mobile phones and a toy gun from the arrested.
