Ganjam: Police today arrested one person in connection with the loot of silver ornaments weighing 8 kilograms from a man near Kokolunda under Bhanjanagar police limits on September 14.
Police today arrested the accused identified as A. Sekhar and seized silver ornaments weighing 7.2 kilograms from his possession. Police have also seized cash of Rs 49000 and the motorcycle used in the crime.
Police said that two accused were involved in the loot from one Laxam Das. “ Sekhar is also involved in similar crimes in Rambha and Chhatrapur. We are also trying to nab the second accused involved in the crime,” said Ganjam SP, Brijesh Kumar Rai.
