Watch: Tiger sighted in Keonjhar’s Panchupalli

Anandapur: A tiger was spotted roaming at a paddy field near Baitarani river of Panchupalli village in Keonjhar district on Saturday.

A video has gone viral on the social media platforms and the forest officials have started a probe. After the investigation, the forest department confirmed it was leopard.

Odisha PCCF Sushant Nanda requests locals to not panic. “It’s a leopard strayed off from Hadagad sanctuary. Forest depart employees are at the spot keeping a vigil. The big cat will return to jungle by this evening,” Nanda urged the locals to not try and shoo it away on their own.

If there is an emergency, then move out of the house with light at night or else stay inside.
