Varsha-Anubhav Marital Discord: Anubhav Mohanty fails to appear before court, cites personal reasons
Cuttack: Ollywood actor turned politician Anubhav Mohanty failed to appear before the court today. The court had asked Anubhav Mohanty and his two accomplices Sujit Dallei and Khagendra Prasad Sahu to appear before it in allegation of mental, physical, torture, threats and other charges filed by Varsha Priyadarshini.
According to sources, Anubhav cited personal reason behind not being able to attend the hearing. Furthermore, he asked for time to appear before the court via his lawyer. The court has granted time till Monday and asked Anubhav Mohanty and his accomplices to appear on the very day.
Earlier, the Cuttack JMFC Special Court dismissed the discharge petition of Anubhav Mohanty. A discharge petition was filed on behalf of Anubhav, stating that there was no basis of the case. The case was filed in Purighat police station in 2020 on behalf of Barsha.
It is worth mentioning here that the marital conflict of Varsha Priyadarshini and Anubhav Mohanty had been a matter of discussion since a long time. Earlier this year in the beginning of February the celebrity couple had been granted divorce by the Family Court in Cuttack.
