President, PM, CM extend wishes on 2019 Rath Yatra

Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sent Rath Yatra wishes. Auspicious Rath Yatra is the chariot festival of the holy siblings of Lords Jagannath and Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra.

President Kovind sent his trilingual wish via Twitter. “Greetings and good wishes to fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra. May the blessings of Lord Jagannath bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone’s lives,” the President tweeted.

Vice President Naidu too conveyed his Rath Yatra wished. He said, “I convey my heartiest greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the joyous occasion of Rath Yatra. Lord Jagannath is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is worshipped across the country.”

“The Rath Yatra of Odisha, depicting the annual journey of Lord Jagannath, witnesses the coming together of the entire community in celebration of the grace and divinity of Lord Jagannath.  The splendour and grandeur of the Rath Yatra is truly unparalleled.   ”

Similarly, PM Narendra Modi too extended his wishes on occasion of the world-famous Chariot festival.

“Best wishes to everyone on the special occasion of the Rath Yatra. We pray to Lord Jagannath and seek his blessings for the good health, happiness and prosperity of everyone. Jai Jagannath,” he tweeted.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik too took to Twitter to convey his wishes. He requested Lord Jagannath to shower everyone with happiness and prosperity.
