Apple iPhone 15 series compromising of four new models — iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, was launched on Tuesday at the company’s ‘Wanderlust’ event. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are the basic models while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models are the top-end ones.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus basically has the same specifications except for the size and the battery life.
The highlight of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is the Dynamic Island displays and the pill-shaped notch and the USB-C charging port.
iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus specifications
As mentioned above, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus feature Dynamic Island displays. Both iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with an OLED Super Retina display with up to 2000 nits peak brightness.
The iPhone 15 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the Plus model features a bigger 6.7-inch display with up to 2000 nits peak brightness. Both the phone’s display support up to standard 60Hz refresh rate.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are powered by the A16 Bionic chip, which is also used in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
Both phones have a dual camera setup on the iPhone 15 series featuring a 48MP primary sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens. Both the iPhones feature a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Though Apple did not reveal the exact battery capacity details. The company has claimed that the iPhone 15 comes with an all-day battery life, while the iPhone 15 Plus offers more. The iPhones 15 and 15 Plus now have USB Type-C charging port instead of the Lightning port. Additionally, the iPhones support MagSafe charging.

The Apple iPhone 15 price in India starts from Rs 79,900 for the 128GB base variant, while the iPhone 15 Plus price range starts from Rs 89,900 for the same storage option. You can get the iPhone 15 series in three storage variants: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come in a total of five colours — Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Black. The new iPhones come in a textured matte finish, and a ceramic shield. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be available for pre-order starting September 15th at 5:30 PM IST and the official sales will begin from September 22nd.
