Watch: Fisherman catches 10.5-feet long ‘Living Dinosaur,’ video viral

If movies like ‘Jurassic Park’ intrigue your imaginations and makes you curious of their existence in today’s world, then this story is for you. Imagine being in the sea and something like a sea monster or a 100 year old Godzilla looking creature pass by you, thrilling isn’t it? Now, a video showcasing such a heart chilling scenario has come forward. The video shows a fisherman holding a giant creature that somehow resembles an ancient dinosaur.

As per a report by Times now, a Canadian fisherman named Yves Bisson caught a colossal 10.5 feet sturgeon in British Columbia recently. He dubbed the fish as the ‘living dinosaur’.

The incident was caught on camera by Yves’s fishing partner and the clip went viral on all social media platforms.

Yves, who calls himself a ‘sturgeon guide’ said that it was one of the largest he’s ever seen.

In the video, the fisherman can be seen struggling to guide the massive freshwater fish’s head towards the sea. Further in the video he can be heard saying, “Check this out, this fish is 10 and a half feet, probably 500, maybe 600lbs.”

Shared on Twitter handle named Rajiv, the caption in the post read, “250 kg sturgeon caught in Canada. The giant was captured in British Columbia, measured, RFID-tagged, and released. According to experts, the fish is over 100 years old.”

The sturgeon fish expert, Yves, claims that the creature lives in Canada’s Fraser River and this beast has probably been around for longer than a century.

After the fish was captured and measured, the fishing guides set the sturgeon free after tagging it with an RFID chip.

Sturgeon is a common name for the 29 species of these primitive fish that appeared for the first time in the fossil record during the Triassic period (245-208 million years ago). Reportedly, ever since then, the fish hasn’t undergone much significant changes in evolution.
