Bhubaneswar: 1 dead as sand laden truck crushes him. The accident happened at around 8:30 am today near Palasuni bridge in Bhubaneswar.
The youth identified as Nihar Ranjan Sahu was crushed under the wheels of a sand laden Hyva, as it hit him from behind.
The truck ran over the waist of the youth killing him on the spot.
Onlookers said the truck involved in the accident fled the scene instantly, but was caught at Khandagiri Square.
The body has been sent for postmortem to Capital Hospital.
The youth belongs to Gadajit area of Jajpur.
According to his family members he was working in Airtel and living in a rented accommodation at Palasuni.
