Aul: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly jumped into a river along with her 9-month-old baby girl in Aul of Kendarpara district in Odisha on Friday.
According to reports, the mother jumped into the river holding her 9-month-old baby girl. The mother jumped into Khasrota river from the bridge of Kendrapada district under Aul police station limits.
The local people rescued the baby and the mother with the help of a boat. They were admitted to Aul Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment. After primary treatment, both the mother and baby girl have been shifted to the Kendrapara District General Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
They are said to be residents of Khandol village under Aul police station. It is said that such an incident took place due to a family dispute, said reliable reports in this regard.
