Sub-inspector falls in vigilance net while taking bribe in Odisha’s Boudh district
A sub-inspector has been under vigilance scanner after he was caught red-handed while taking bribe in Odisha’s Boudh district.
Boudh: A sub-inspector has been under vigilance scanner after he was caught red-handed while taking bribe in Odisha’s Boudh district. The incident has been reported from Baunsuni police station of the district.
According to sources, the accused sub-inspector Bikram Kishore Dehuri, was caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 15,000. Reportedly, he took the bribe to release a seized bike.
The bike was already released by the court, however the accused had demanded more Rs 15,000 to give the motorcycle to its owner. He had reportedly taken Rs 20,000 earlier for the same reason.
The vigilance team has detained the sub-inspector and initiated a probe into the matter.
