Cuttack: Special ‘Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Bill (POCSO) court judge Subas Bihari allegedly committed suicide today.
According to reports, Subas Bihari ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fans at his official residence at CDA Sector-9 of the City. He took the drastic step in the absence of his family members.
Bihari was rescued in a critical condition and was rushed to a private hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
While the exact reason behind the judge ending his life is yet to be known, police is said to have started an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, Bihari’s co-worker informed that the deceased judge was on leave for the last two days and was slated to join the duty today. But, he sought permission to extend the holiday but now he is dead.
