Sand-laden Hyva runs over woman’s legs in Nimapara of Odisha, hospitalized in critical condition
Nimapara: A sand-laden Hyva ran over a woman’s after hitting the bike she was traveling in in Nimapara of Odisha’s Puri district.
According to sources, the woman and a man were on their way toward Bhubaneswar when a sand-land truck hit them from behind. Following this, the woman fell from the bike, after which the truck ran over her legs.
The locals present at the scene managed to spot the hyva from fleeing from the spot. They immediately informed police about the incident.
On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed the woman to nearby hospital. She was later shifted to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar as her health condition deteriorated.
Meanwhile, the cops have initiated a probe into the matter. Further detailed reports related to the incident are awaited.
Earlier, a person was killed, while another person was critically injured after the bike they were on collided with dumper in Nilagiri of Odisha’s Balasore district. The incident occurred near Gopinathpur Railway crossing of the district.
According to sources, the dumper and the bike had a head-on collision with the bike, following which one of the biker died on the spot, while another was critically injured. The locals present at the scene immediately rushed the injured to the nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the dumper managed to flee from the spot after the incident.
After receiving information, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter. However, the identifications of the deceased and injured are not known yet.
