Puri gears-up for impending cyclone ‘JAWAD’ threat, cancels leaves of all officials & employees

Puri: Puri district administration has chalked strategies for the impending cyclone ‘JAWAD’ threat. It has canceled the leaves of all officials and employees as a part of its move to meet any eventuality.

Puri collector Samarth Verma held a preparatory meeting with officials via videoconferencing and directed them to cancel the leaves of every government servants.

The cyclone shelters are ready and adequate amount of dry food, drinking water, medicine and feeds for animals have been stored.

The collector has directed the doctors, firefighters and employees of the power department, Rural Development and Public Works Department (PWD) to be prepared for the possible cyclone.
