Baliguda: Tightening the noose around the neck of corrupt government officials Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday caught the head clerk of Baliguda ITDA in Kandhamal district of Odisha while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 6,000 from a contractor.
The trapped head clerk has been identified as Basant Kumar Pani.
As per reports, Sasibhusan Pani, the head clerk at the office of PA, ITDA, Baliguda in Kandhamal district has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.6,000/- from a complainant (contractor) for release of security amount in his favour. The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from Pani.
In this connection Berhampur Vigilance PS case No.16/2021 has been registered while investigation is in progress against the corrupt official.
Besides, simultaneous searches have been launched on properties of Pani at two places in Kandhamal district.
