Bhubaneswar: The 6-hour Odisha Bandh called by Congress today for rising fuel prices has been effective. The capital city of Bhubaneswar bore a deserted look and so did other parts of the state.
The Congress workers were seen blocking roads and sitting in protest at various important place in Bhubaneswar such as Kalpana, Master Canteen and Cuttack Road starting from morning 7 am.
The Twin City Commissionerate Police has been deployed at important points of the city.
Other parts of the state have seen similar situations.
It is noteworthy that, the State government had declared closure of schools and plus two classes in view of the bandh.
