Bhubaneswar: The body of Debabrata Majhi who has jumped into the Kathajodi river near Trisulia bridge in Cuttack on Tuesday evening was found today.
The body of Majhi was first spotted by a few locals who immediately informed the police. Majhi, a resident of Gadakana area in Bhubaneswar has jumped into the river after parking his motorcycle. Majhi has also kept his mobile phone near his motorcycle.
Police said that Majhi was mentally unstable for the past few months and that might be the reason behind taking the extreme step.
Earlier on October 9, a man had jumped into Kathajodi river in Cuttack after having an altercation with his wife. The body of Debabrata Mohapatra was found on October 16 from the Devi River near Rahamba under Gobindpur police limits in the district.
