Balasore: In a rare and shocking incident of alleged witchcraft in Balasore district of Odisha, has allegedly led to the death of a three-year-old baby girl, said reliable reports in this regard on Monday.
The incident has been reported from Baliapal police station limits under Gengutia village of Balasore district in Odisha. A video of a sorcerer doing witchcraft to revive a three-year-old baby girl through has gone viral since yesterday.
The viral video shows a baby girl inside a mosquito net being worshiped, according to the information available. Yesterday, the family of the child took her to the Maha Baruni at Dogra beach for taking a bath. After returning home, the child died due to suffocation.
Reports say that as a result, the family tried to save the child by worshiping the child with the help of a sorcerer doing witchcraft in Balasore.
Earlier in January, in a shocking act of witchcraft in Odisha people slit man’s throat thinking him to be a sorcerer in Malkangiri. Reports say that, the murder was on suspicion of a man being a sorcerer. The incident has been reported from Malkangiri Adams police station in Tandapalli village in Nrishansam.
The murder of a man took place on the suspicion of witchcraft in Odisha. The deceased has been identified as Lakshma Kawas of Tandapali village. Suspecting Lakshma to be a witchcraft practitioner, some miscreants killed him with a sharp weapon and threw his body into the river.
However as Lakshma did not return home last night, the family searched for him. After seeing the body floating in the river this morning, locals informed the local police.
