According to the available reports, 265 criminal cases have been registered in Odisha. 166 government Officers and others were arrested. 85 DA cases were registered.
Disproportionate assets (da) worth over 124 crores unearthed. 98 trap cases have been registered against 123 persons including 109 government Officers who were trapped while demanding and accepting bribe worth Rs. 28.27 lakhs.
Top two cash seizures by Odisha Vigilance (2nd & 3rd highest in history of odisha vigilance) were done in 2023. Highest bribe money seizure in a trap case (rs 12 lakh in shape of unnamed cheque) in the history of Odisha vigilance in 2023.
Reports say cases were registered against 58 class-I officers in 2023. Investigation, searches at over 478 locations carried out by Odisha vigilance in trap/DA cases was conducted. 684 number of bank accounts of corrupt public servants frozen by Odisha vigilance.
290 number of buildings/projects in 95 valuation cases worth approx Rs. 48.14 crores evaluated were seized. 36 spouses made co-accused in 85 number of DA cases. Investigations have been completed in 406 cases at a disposal rate of 153% of registration. Highest disposal percentage in a decade.
Further it is worth mentioning that, 124 convictions in 2023; percentage of conviction comes to 50%. 66% conviction rate in DA cases. Vigilance clearance for 41,044 public servants issued has been. 1,113 all India service and state govt. Officers including ZP president and vice-presidents trained at state vigilance academy in 2023.
