14 dead, 10 critical in Lightning strike in Odisha
As many as 14 people have lost their lives while over 10 people have been reported critical in a series of lightning strikes in Odisha.
Bhubaneswar: As many as 14 people lost their lives after a series of lightning strikes in Odisha. The impact of the lightning strikes has been deeply felt, with several people remaining critical as well.
Five people lost their lives while six remain critically injured in Basta and Oupada block of Balasore district. Three people died while another three remain critical in Chandbali town in Bhadrak.
Further, three people have lost their lives while one has sustained grave injuries in Mayurbhanj. A young man from the Dasarathpur Police station area in Jajpur also lost his life.
Local Police departments and medical facilities have ensured the proper handling of the bodies of the deceased and have initiated necessary investigative procedures.
