6 Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels for Indian Coast Guard

A Rs 1600 crore contract was signed today between the Ministry of Defence and the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence signed a contract on Wednesday for the acquisition of six state-of-the-art Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels. These news vessels will be included to the Indian Coast Guard. It was informed in a X post today by ANI News Agency.

As per the information, the cost of the six NGOPVs is Rs 1600 crores. A contract was signed today between the Ministry of Defence and the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai.

“Ministry of Defence has signed a contract (cost of Rs. 1600 Crores) for the acquisition of six state-of-the-art Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels (06 NGOPVs) with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai for Indian  Coast Guard today in New Delhi.” ANI wrote in the X post.
