Bhubaneswar: Finally, the grand periodic drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was released earlier today. Kangana Ranaut is seen playing the titular role.
There was a lot of hype since the first time a few pictures of the movie were released.
Laxmi Bai, the Queen of Jhansi was one of the most fearless warriors and strategist known. She is also said to have played a prominent role in India’s First War of Independence in 1857.
Kangana Ranaut is known to take up varied roles and taking up the role of Laxmi Bai garnered a lot of interest. The trailer blows away our minds. The dialogues, costumes, jewellery, locations, VFX and the entire grandeur is simply amazing.

Rani Laxmi Bai shines brightly in the pages of Indian history as one of the early freedom fighters of India. She trained and headlined an army of women against the East India Company during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
