Stock market today: Sensex trades above 70,000; Nifty at 21,020
At 09.20 am, the Sensex was up 80 points to trade above 70,000. While, Nifty 50 index rose around 0.16% to a record high of 21,031.50 point.
New Delhi: Benchmark share indices Sensex and Nifty opened higher on Tuesday. The Sensex gained 61.15 points at 69,989.68, and the Nifty was up 30.90 points at 21,028.
At 09.20 am, the Sensex was up 80 points to trade above 70,000. While Nifty 50 index rose around 0.16% to a record high of 21,031.50 points. Nifty crossed the 21,000 mark earlier on Monday.
HDFC Life, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, and Bajaj Auto were among the top gainers on the Nifty today. BPCL, Apollo Hospitals, ONGC, Infosys, and L&T were top losers.
