BSE Sensex down by over 280 points and Nifty at 20,127
The markets opened in red after 30-share BSE Sensex fell 286.6 points to 67,552.03, while the declined 70.7 points to 20,121.65.
New Delhi: The equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty opened in red amid weak global cues on Monday. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 286.6 points to 67,552.03, while the declined 70.7 points to 20,121.65.
As of 9:20 am, the Nifty 50 fell by approximately 0.3 per cent to 20,140 points, while the S&P BSE Sensex lost nearly 0.4 per cent, standing at 67,600 points
The top gainers were Mahindra & Mahindra, Titan, NTPC and Asian Paints. Infosys, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Wipro and Reliance Industries were among the major laggards.
M&M, HDFC Life, Cipla, SBI, and Titan. Conversely, the major laggards were Hindalco, Infosys, Coal India, HDFC Bank, and LTIM were among the top performers on the Nifty 50.
