Ather working on New Series 2 electric scooter with transparent body panels
The latest addition to the electric scooter lineup of Ather will reportedly be called Series 2 and could bear transparent body panels all over.
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy is reportedly planning to launch a new electric scooter soon. The latest addition to the electric scooter lineup of the company is called Series 2 and could bear transparent body panels all over.
Ather Energy CEO, Tarun Mehta has also confirmed this via a post his social media handles. He stated that upcoming electric scooter will get proper transparent panels not translucent ones.
Previously, Ather Series 1 scooters, which was labeled as a Collector’s Editon, were offered with translucent panels.
There is no information on the powertrain of the upcoming Ather bike. The Ather Series 2 might or might not use the same engine and have similar hardware, design, battery and features as the current 450 lineup. The Ather 450X Series 1 comes in a translucent black colourways with red colour on the chassis.
Ather currently offers 450S, which is the most affordable model, along with the flagship offering 450X with 2.9kWh battery and the 450X with 3.7kWh battery.
Reports have suggested that the recently launched 450S would still be on sale even after the launch of the Series 2. Ather could introduce the Series 2 scooter very soon.
