Pakistani MP Meets PM Modi, Sushma Swaraj; Offers To Play Peacemaker Between Indo-Pak

New Delhi: Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, a member of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party met PM Narendra Modi, Minister of State of External Affairs VK Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and held discussions on the sidelines of an event in New Delhi.

Vankwani assured the Prime Minister and others that Pakistan had no involvement in the Pulwama terror attack, in which 40 security personnel were killed on February 14.

The Pakistani Parliamentarian assured that he will help mediate between the Governments of India and Pakistan to defuse tension in the wake of the Pulwama attack “If you have any apprehension, tell me about it. I will share it with my government, We should move in a positive direction, we want peace,” PTI quoted him saying in Delhi.

Noteworthy, Vankwani was part of a foreign delegation invited to India to attend the Kumbh Mela by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
