Fraud donation sites for Pulwama Martyr’s families crop up

Beware of such sites and report immediately

Bhubaneswar: In the aftermath of Pulwama Terror Attack that claimed lives of about 45 CRPF personnel, links for fraud donation sites have cropped up on various social media platforms.

In a series of screenshots, a Twitter user said that forwards are using Akshay Kumar’s name to get citizens to give money for the families of the martyred soldiers. He wanted to create awareness and not get duped on the way to charity.

The user has also tagged honourable Prime Minister’s Office to notify him regarding the fraud donation sites and links.

The fake message reads that the Narendra Modi government has now launched a new scheme ‘exclusively’ for battle casualties and weapon purchase. They also wrongly say that the fund is a Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s initiative.

Contrary to any such claims, ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ is the authorised government donation platform. The payments can also be made through UPI, Paytm or through SBI payment gateway.

If you do ever face any such fraud donation sites, do report them immediately.
