Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has arrested the man, who was caught on CCTV molesting a schoolgirl in Laxmisagar area here in Odisha last week.
In a tweet, the Commisionerate police said, “Suspect in the Laxmi Sagar Molestation Case has been arrested. His details cannot be disclosed at this stage as it will hamper investigation of the case. Speculations are best avoided. Further information will be provided in due course.”

The molestation incident was taken place near Sabar Sahi of Laxmisagar here on August 21.
In the CCTV footage, the man in his 40s was seen following the girl in his scooty and later intercepting the girl who was on her way to a coaching centre on her bicycle in the early morning.
The man was later seen having a conversation with the minor girl. Taking advantage of her aloneness, the man also molested the girl. The accused however fled from the spot as the girl raised an alarm.
The family members of the girl had lodged a complaint with police on the same day.
