A car driver is seriously injured while a security guard died after inhaling smoke emitted from the mosquito coil.

The deceased has been identified as Sahadev Mohanta of Kumaranli village in Harichandanpur block. The injured driver Surendra Majhi is from Bardhana village under Baria Police limits.

According to the information given by Surendra, the security guard in the office of a private company and the car driver were sleeping in a house. While sleeping at night, they had lighted two mosquito coils that emitted smoke while the doors and windows were shut.

Surendra said that after opening his eyes he found himself in the hospital.

According to the doctor he was admitted to the Keonjhar District Headquarter Hospital in an unconscious state and the other one was dead. The serious condition occurred due to inhaling some toxic smoke. Now his health condition is stable. The cause of death will be known after the post mortem report of the deceased comes.
