IAF Chopper crash in Tamil Nadu: Jawan Rana Pratap Das’ body to reach Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: The body of Odia Jawan Rana Pratap Das, a Junior Warrant Officer, who lost his life in the military helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu earlier this week, will reach Odisha today.

According to reports, Rana Pratap’s mortal remains will be brought to Bhubaneswar from New Delhi later today and will be taken to his native village in Angul district.

The deceased Jawan will be laid to rest with state honour at his native Krushnachandrapur village under Kundala panchayat of Talcher area of the district.

Rana Pratap had joined the IAF 12 years ago and was currently working as a Junior Warrant Officer (JWO). He was part of the technical crew of the chopper.

Meanwhile, his wife Sibangi and son Gaya have reportedly reached Talcher and preparation at Krushnachandrapur village for the Jawan’s last rites.
