ATM loot in Balasore of Odisha, probe underway

The ATM loot took place near Khirachora Gopinath temple in Remuna of Odisha's Balasore district. Probe into the matter is underway.

Balasore: In a recent incident, an ATM was looted in Balasore district of Odisha. The incident took place near Khirachora Gopinath temple in Balasore’s Remuna, said reports from reliable sources.

Reportedly, an SBI ATM situated about 30 meters away from a police outpost was looted. The loot took place during the late night hours, around 2:30 AM on Sunday. As per reports from reliable sources, the miscreants used a gas cutter to break into the ATM.

The ATM has reportedly been completely damaged by the miscreants.  Upon witnessing the damaged condition of the ATM, the local people informed the nearby police station. Officials from the nearby police station have initiated a probe into the matter.

As per information from reliable sources, a total of 18 lakh 36 thousand rupees were deposited in the ATM a night before the loot in Balasore. Further details into the matter awaited.
