Subha Stambha of Bargarh Dhanu Jatra set up in Sanchar Mandap

Bargarh: Subha Stambha (sacred pillar) of world famous Bargarh Dhanu Jatra was set up in Sanchar Mandap at Hatapada on Friday.

The Subha Stambha was set up at the Hatapada after a special prayer was officered at Maa Samalei Mandir and religious rally across the town. With the setting up of the Subha Stambha, preparation for the annual Dhanu Jatra began.

It is to be noted here that the 76th Dhanu Jatra, which is world’s largest open-air theatre, will be held from January 15, 2024. The 11-day annual event which will conclude on January 25, 2024, depicts the story of Lord Krishna’s victory over the evil king Kansa.
