Odisha Cabinet Approves 18 Proposals

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet approved 18 important proposals on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Minister. Later Chief Secretary briefed the Press about the proposals.

Among the proposals the State Cabinet decides to alienate Government land and acquired/purchased land for “Heritage Security Corridor around Shri Jagannath Temple Puri” in favour of Sri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee free of premium  and to correct RoR in the name of Lord Shri Jagannath Bije Puri, Marfat SJTMC.

The Cabinet also approved the Paddy Procurement Target at 71 lakh MT. The State Cabinet approved Food & Procurement Policy for Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21. For Kharif, the tentative target for procurement of paddy would be 54 lakh MT & for Rabi 17 lakh MT.

The Cabinet also approved a 3-km long flyover for Keonjhar town to reduce traffic congestion.  Rs. 144-crore tender was finalised for this. The work is to be completed within 30 months.

Besides, the State cabinet also gave nod to the amendment of Odisha Civil Services (Criteria for Promotion) Rules, 1992, framing of Odisha Pharmacist Service Amendment Rules, 2020 and Odisha Radiographer Service Amendment Rules, 2020.

The Cabinet also approved for amendment of Odisha Medical & Health Services Rules, 2018 and framing of Odisha Nursing Service Amendment Rules, 2020.
