Keonjhar: A youth paid heavy price for having illicit relationship with a married woman in Harichandanpur block in the district as the latter chopped off his genitals following a dispute last night.
The victim has been identified as Rajendra Nayak of Jharbeda village under Pandapada police limits.
As per the report, Nayak who works in a private company in Chennai of Tamil Nadu was having an illicit affair with the accused woman since long. The accused who was married and living in Badanuagaon village reportedly called up him to her house last night to have a meeting.
It is being suspected that, a verbal duel erupted between Nayak and the accused woman during the discussion and the latter took out a sharp knife to bobbitise him.
The victim was first rushed to the Harichandanpur CHC in critical condition following the attack and later shifted to Keonjhar DHH in critical condition.
While the police have started investigation into the incident and detained the accused woman for quizzing, they have suspected more people’s involvement in the incident.
