Man’s dead body in Mahanadi spotted by locals, probe underway
A dead body in Mahanadi river was spotted on Wednesday by locals. The body is of a man and was seen floating.
Cuttack: A dead body in Mahanadi river was spotted on Wednesday by locals. The body is of a man and was seen floating in the Mahanadi river near the riverbed of Netaji Bus Terminal in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
According to sources, locals spotted the dead body floating on the river. Following this, they immediately informed the police about the incident.
After receiving information about the incident, Badambadi Police and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team reached the spot and initiated rescue operation.
As per the official reports, a complaint of man jumping into Mahanadi was registered. However, it yet to confirm that the dead body in Mahanadi is of the same man or not. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
