A man has allegedly attempted to kill his own newborn girl in Banki under Cuttack district of Odisha on Tuesday, said reports.
Banki: A man has allegedly attempted to kill his own newborn girl in Banki under Cuttack district of Odisha on Tuesday, said reports. According to reports, the man attempted to kill newborn girl as he expected that he would have a son. The man was so enraged that he attempted to kill the baby girl.
Repots say that, Nityananda Kar’s elder daughter was married to Manas Kar of Baliapada village in Nayagarh district less than ten years ago. They have an eight-year-old son.
It is further worth mentioning that, for the second birth the wife had goneto her father’s house. Manas’s wife gave birth to a baby girl less than a week ago. Then Manas reached his father-in-law’s house he asked why a girl child was born. They bullied everyone and tried to kill the newborn.
His mother-in-law and father-in-law prevented him from doing so, and Manas attacked them with a rod and critically injured them. As the two people screamed, the villagers over powered the son-in-law Manas and took him to the police. The police have arrested Manas and are investigating into the matter. The mother-in-law and father-in-law have been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
