Malkangiri: Maoists torch two vehicles along Odisha-Chhattisgarh border

Malkangiri: Maoist activity has been reported again on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border. In a recent case, the red rebels reportedly torched two vehicles in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh protesting the construction of the road.

According to reports, the ultras have torched a truck and a Hyva truck near Abujhamad in the Narayanpur district of CG. Accordingly, the two vehicles have turned into ashes.

The Maoists also left posters on the spot. It has been mentioned in the poster that the vehicles were torched over forceful encroachment of land.

Following the incident, the anti-Maoist operation has been intensified in the area. Local police are said to have started an investigation into the matter, said a source.
