Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued an orange alert for heat wave to severe heat conditions in different parts of Odisha.
The IMD predicted, that there will be no change in the maximum temperature during the next 24 hours and there will be slight fall in temperature by 2 to 3 degree celsius at many places over districts of Odisha.
Orange Warning: Heat wave is likely to prevail at few places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Angul and Keonjhar.
Yellow Warning: Heat wave is likely to prevail at few places over the districts of Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal Khordha, Cuttack, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur.
Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with the gusty surface wind reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Rayagada, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabrangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir and Kalahandi.
