GST evasion allegations on a popular coaching center in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: There are major tax evasion allegations on a very popular private coaching center in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday, said reports. The Central GST team has conducted an investigation and a surprise raid on the  suspicion of tax evasion of more than 2 crore rupees.

The central GST collection team conducted a raid on the popular coaching center in Bhubaneswar. After studying the tax evasion pattern for five years, it was been observed that there is a 18 percent tax gap in the material supply.

With this, it is suspected that GST is not being paid on the amount of financial transactions related to the coaching and material supply of the center.

Yesterday, two teams consisting of 30 officers raided the popular private  coaching center in Bhubaneswar for 18 hours at a stretch. All the financial papers and bills were checked, many important papers have been seized. The CMD of the coaching center was also questioned by the DGGI yesterday, said reliable reports.
