Fake cosmetics worth Rs 10 lakh seized from 5 shops in Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: In a recent incident, as many as five shops were raided by police for selling fake cosmetics. The raid was conducted jointly by the Berhampur town police and the Bada bazaar police.

As per reports from reliable sources, a significant amount of fake cosmetics were seized during the raid in Berhampur. This action comes after a complaint lodged by officials from Hindustan Unilever (HUL). The company had lodged a complaint alleging the selling of fake cosmetic products in the area.

Two separate complaints regarding the matter were lodged at the Town police station and at the Bada bazaar police station. A detailed probe into the matter is still underway. The police informed that the seized cosmetics were worth over Rs 10 lakh.
