8 injured in bike-autorickshaw head on collision in Odisha’s Puri district

Puri: At least eight people were injured after the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in collided with a bike in Odisha’s Puri district. The incident occurred on Balisahi Chakk in Satpada of the district.

According to sources, the injured included five women and children. Following the incident, the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, the biker has been shifted to Puri hospital.

On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter. Further detailed reports related to the matter are awaited.

In a similar instance today, two bikers were killed after an unknown vehicle hit them in Odisha’s Jajpur district. The incident occurred on National Highway number 16 in Barachana over-bridge of the district.

According to sources, the two victims were going towards Chandikhol from Cuttack when an unknown vehicle hit them. Following the accident, the two died on the spot. However, the identities of the deceased are yet to be known.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, seized the bodies and sent them for autopsy. The cops have also initiated a probe into the matter.
