2024 Election: Final voters’ list in Odisha to be released on Jan 5

Bhubaneswar: Chief electoral officer (CEO) Nikunja Bihari Dhal today informed that the final voter list of Odisha will be released on January 5, 2024.

Dhal, during his meeting with the representatives of all political parties today, said that the draft voter list of Odisha will be released on October 27 as per the direction of the Election Commission of India. However, the final voters’ list will be released on January 5 next year.

He said that the political parties can obtain the copy of the final voters’ lists after it is given to the deputy collectors’ offices of all districts.

The complaints and suggestions from the voters on the draft voter lists can be filed from October 27 to December 9, while the errors in the list would be rectified by December 26.

The Election Commission would launch a special drive on November 5, 11, 19 and 25 to include the voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years in the voters’ list.
