Dense fog witnessed in several districts of Odisha

Dense fog was witnessed in several districts of Odisha as predicted by the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar: Though the night temperature dropped slightly giving some respite from the intense cold wave conditions across the state, dense fog was witnessed in several districts of Odisha as predicted by the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar.

People of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput witnessed dense fog this morning. Vehicular movements were affected due to the fog.

Such dense fog would continue for another two days in different parts of the state as the IMD has issued yellow warning for the same.

Dense fog will be recorded in district like Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagaday and Koraput till 8.30 AM of tomorrow.

Similarly, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal will also expected to witness dense fog between 8.30 AM of 24.12.2023 and 8.30 AM of 25.l2.2023.

People of the districts, especially those who use vehicles, have been advised to be careful while driving as there will be low visibility due to the fog.
