Sundargarh: A body of youth with slit throat has been found behind Deepika English Medium School in Rourkela, Sector 7 late on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Manoranjan Nag, informed Additional SP Sangram Keshari Behera.
From the preliminary investigation, it is being said that the youth has been murdered by some miscreants at a different place late last night following which they have thrown the body in the bushes behind the school.
Several cuts and bruises have been found on Manoranjan’s body, added Additional SP Behera.
Thereafter, the locals spotted the body this morning and immediately informed to the local police. On getting the information, Sector-7 police arrived at the spot and recovered the body. Thereafter, the family of the deceased identified the body. The cops along with the sniffer dog initiated an investigation into the death case.
The body has been sent for autopsy.
