Bhubaneswar: Miscreants barge into house in Niladri Vihar, loot cash and valuables

Some unknown miscreants reportedly barged into a house in Niladri Vihar area of Bhubaneswar and allegedly looted cash and other valuables including gold.

Bhubaneswar: Some unknown miscreants reportedly barged into a house in Niladri Vihar area of Bhubaneswar and allegedly looted cash and other valuables including gold.

One Sunita Nayak is living in a slum near the Science Park in Niladri Vihar. Sunita had gone to her sister’s house on November 25 by locking the house. However, the robbers had entered the house by breaking open the lock of the door and looted cash over Rs 10,000 and gold ornament.

Apart from looting the cash and valuables, the unknown persons also reportedly damaged the television, refrigerator and almirah.

The matter came to the light only after Sunita came to the house this morning. Later, she filed a case of robbery at the Chandrasekhar police station.

Meanwhile, cops have started an investigation into the matter based on Sunita’s complaint.

Likewise, miscreants looted gold worth lakhs of rupees from the house of Ramakant Sahu of Batarichandanpur village under Ghatgaon police station limits of Keonjhar district.

The miscreants looted from Ramakant’s hous while every family member had gone to offer prayer at the famous Maa Tarini Temple.

On being informed, the local police and scientific team reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
