Keonjhar: A newborn baby girl, who was lying abandoned at a roadside of Barbil town in the district, was rescued on Sunday morning.
According to reports, a passer-by, named Rishi Giri, spotted the newborn at a roadside in Pashupati Nagar area in the town early on the morning. He found that the baby girl was lying on a sack and few birds were roaming around the child.
After realising that the baby is alive, Giri brought her to nearby Sriram Nagar area and alerted the locals.
The baby girl was rushed to Barbil hospital. Her health condition was stated to be stable when last reports came in.
